Is that a . . .

. . . TRAIL?!

Barley and I ended our afternoon with a short stroll at the lake. The last .1-mile of the trail where there are no trees to cast shade across the trail was completely free of snow and ice (although it had its fair share of puddles). Quite a change from earlier in the week!

We're loving this warmer weather and the later sunsets! Thank you, thank you, Mother Nature!

  1. Haha, we were joking at my group run how they must have just put in sidewalks because they didn't look familiar. ;-)

    1. I think the park rangers forgot where the trail was, too, because the part that was cleared by the parking lot was all just a grassy spot and no trail!

  2. We so agree. Puddles and clear pathways are so much more fun than salt and ice. XS

    1. Absolutely! Now I just have to make sure to get Barley's belly wiped off before she starts getting mud everywhere after our walks--but that's a challenge I'll willing accept!

  4. We are very much looking forward to seeing the ground again. The sun was out today and the snow on the road is beginning to melt. Wonderful spring picture!

    1. We can't see much of the ground yet, but I'm enjoying every last inch that we can see :) Hope that you start seeing some more of the ground soon, too!

  5. Oh, you're so lucky!! We're not quite there yet. We had some nice days but now it's turned cold again and we might get more snow this weekend.

    1. I hope you didn't really get more snow this weekend! That would just be cruel. Keeping my fingers crossed that you get puddles instead of ice soon!
